 Launch Date in India

  • Sony made the PlayStation 5 available for pre-order on January 12, 2021, in India. It was launched on February 2, 2021, in India. As per announcements made by Sony, a second pre-order was not made available.
  • Microsoft, on the other hand, launched the Xbox 360 gaming console in India way back in 2013.

Available Versions

  • PlayStation 5 comes in two models: PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. There is no disk drive in the PS5 Digital Edition while the PS5 boasts a 4K UHD Blue-ray disc drive.
  • The Xbox 360 comes in 4 different models or versions: the Xbox 360 4GB console, the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect, the Xbox 360 250 GB console, and the Xbox 360 250 GB console with Kinect. The amount of hard disk contained in these models are different from each other.

  • The PlayStation 5 boasts an AMD-designed APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) and also has 8 Zen 2 cores with 16 threads having a 3.5 GHz peak frequency. It also has a GPU with custom RDNA2 implementation and has 36 CUs with a 2.23 GHz peak frequency.
